Planning A Wedding

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  If you would like to include Columbia Church of Christ in your special day, or simply use our building, please review the following information to get started.

Setting A Wedding Date

Please keep in mind as you set a date for your wedding that church activites will always have priority on the church calendar.  Please be sure to contact the church office before setting a date to make sure that there are no scheduling conflicts.  Here are the events and times of the year when weddings are not permitted:

  • New Year's Eve or Day
  • Easter Weekend
  • Vacation Bible School (including the weekend before and after)
  • Thanksgiving Weekend
  • Christmas Eve or Day

Wedding Ministry Guidelines

Please read over our Wedding Ministry Guidelines below to get an idea of how we can help with your very special and important event.  If after reading them over you decide to go foward planning your wedding with us, please print a copy for reference throughout your planning process and then move on to the application part of the process.

Wedding Application

Once you have read and agree to our Wedding Ministry Guidelines, the next step is for you to fill out our Wedding Application form (below).  Please read this form carefully, download it, fill it out, and send it back to us by e-mail, fax or regular mail.  After recieving your wedding application, our Elders will review it during their next meeting (usually the first Sunday of each month) and respond to you as promptly as possible.

If you have any questions as you go through this process, please contact our minister, Nathan Derico, by phone at (419) 459-4846 or by e-mail at nathan@columbiachurchofchrist.org.
